Queensland East Coast
A south-to-north run from Bargara through cane fields, ranges, tropical coast and island water.
Chapter Two
The Road is less about arriving somewhere than moving through it — coastlines, inland detours, roadside pauses and the long stretches in between.
These pages follow journeys rather than places. The images are arranged by direction and distance, where light shifts, weather changes, and small encounters interrupt the drive.
Travelling this way changes what you notice. The obvious view fades quickly, replaced by smaller details — the angle of a road cutting through cane, a shift in the colour of water, the quiet moment at the edge of a lookout.
The camera follows that change. Less about documenting where something is, more about how it feels to move through it.
Over time, these journeys will build into a broader map: coastlines, inland routes, and places that only make sense when seen as part of something longer.
For now, it begins with a single run north along the Queensland coast.
